ALTON LEE PERRY
PERRY, Alton Lee, born May 16 1941, died on Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, passed away at Williamson County Medical Center at the age of 72. Alton was born in Franklin County and grew up in the Alto area. He attended and was a member of the Alto Methodist Church and later attended and was active in the Gum Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Alton is the son of the late Dick and Lucy Perry and is one of five children. He is survived by his wife, Molly Perry of 51 years. Molly and Alton’s love story goes back even further than these 51 years. They first met on the school bus while still in school. Molly still has the first note that Alton passed her telling her she was the prettiest girl he had ever seen. Mr. Perry attended Franklin County High School where he graduated in 1960. The day of graduation from Franklin County High School Mr. Perry when to work for Genesco for several years, later at Altamill Corporation of Tullahoma, then in 1967, to AEDC in the Boilermaker Apprentice Program. After making lead Boilermaker, he stayed at AEDC until retirement. An avid fisherman, Mr. Perry enjoyed traveling the south fishing with friends and family. He was a true Bass fisherman and loved the sport. He enjoyed working in his yard and spending time with his wife. In addition to his wife, Molly Partin Perry, he is survived by two sisters, Sara (Bud) Sutherland and Rachael (Jimmy) Long. Visitation with the family was held on Monday evening, Dec. 16, 2013, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Winchester. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, at Moore Cortner Funeral Home. Presiding over the service was Rev. Rocky Whray and Rev. Dean Guy. Serving as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers were fellow Boilermakers from his career. NANCY J. DOAN WISE
WISE, Nancy J. Doan, age 72, of Winchester, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2013, at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, following a brief illness. Mrs. Wise was a retired secretary. She was also a member of the Brownington Nazarene Church in Winchester. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Wise was preceded in death by her parents, Darlein and Lee Doan, Sr., brother, Leslie E. Doan and a stepdaughter, Vickie Wise. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, William Wise of Winchester; three daughters, Tammy McKinney of LaSalle, Ill, Kimberly Rex, and husband Gus Klerononos, of Portage, Ind. and Michelle (Jerry) Stafford of Estill Springs; a son, Robert (Alissa) Williams of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; stepdaughter, Kimberly Murphy of Tram, Ky; step-son, Richard (Anne) Wise of Laquey, Mo.; 18, granchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A special thanks to a very special friend, Janetta Henley. Visitation for Mrs. Wise was held on Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services in Estill Springs. Funeral services for Mrs. Wise were conducted on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, at 1 p.m. at the Brownington Nazarene Church with Bro. Willie Brunowski officiating.
