Decherd man arrested for suspected rape of 15-year-old
On Tuesday, Franklin County Sheriff’s personnel arrested a Decherd man suspected of raping a 15-year-old female.
Roman Guiermo Hernandez, 37, of 25 Mentor Road, Decherd, is being charged with one count of rape and one count of sexual battery.
At approximately 11:37 p.m. Monday, sheriff’s deputies responded to Southern Tennessee Medical Center in reference to a reported rape.
According to a report filed by Cpl. Chuck Stines, the mother of the 15-year-old victim provided the details regarding her daughter’s rape.
Investigators George Dyer and Andrea Davidson of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office then conducted a subsequent investigation, which led to Hernandez’s arrest.
Hernandez is being charged with count of rape and one count of sexual battery. He is being held in the Franklin County Jail under $50,000 and will appear in Franklin County Circuit Court at 8 a.m. Monday, March 3.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office will release further information concerning this case as deemed necessary.
