TERRILL, Geraldine Hill, age 94, died on Sunday, March 30, 2014. She was born on June 17, 1919, to Allen (Bud) and Elizabeth (Lizzie) Hill in Sewanee. She was educated at Sewanee Elementary School and Franklin County High School in Winchester. She married Clyde Terrill of Sewanee who preceded her in death in 1990. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Hubert Hill and wife Lula. She is survived by her brother, James Otto Hill and wife, Dot; one nephew; several nieces; and many loving friends. LOCKHART, Minnie Lee, age 99 of Monteagle, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, with her family by her side. She was born in Coalmont, a daughter of the late Joe Nunley and Lydia Woodlee Nunley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Lockhart; brother, Elihu Nunley; sister, Josephine Jones; sons, Roy Kenneth and Billy Joe Lockhart; and a daughter-in-law, Virginia Lockhart. Survivors include her children, Dorothy (James W.) MaGouirk, Edwene Lockhart, Juanita (Jim) Haynes, Ruby (Ernie) Walker, Wanda (Terry) Turner and Marie (Jimmy) Hinson; 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 32 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandchild. GASS, Ronald “Ronnie” Henry, age 60 of Belvidere, passed from this life on Friday, April 4, 2014, at Southern Tennessee Medical Center in Winchester. He was born on March 24, 1954, in Cowan, the son of the late Jesse Lee and JoAnn (Beene) Gass. He was the owner/operator of R&D Electric. He enjoyed woodworking and canoeing and was a replicator of local historic buildings that were displayed in the courthouse and Cowan Welcome Center. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Lamb-Gass; daughters, Brandi Jo (Jim) Speck of Winchester and Olivia Rose Gass of Belvidere; brothers, Gerry (Diane) Gass and Mose (Hazel) Gass, both of Cowan; step-son, Shayne Ray of Cowan; grandson, Jesse Glen Speck of Winchester; in-laws, Dave and Claire Lamb of Decherd; brother-in-law, David (Donna) Lamb of Alabama; several nieces and nephews; and special friends who helped with his fight, Dale and Thelma Goodwin and Mandi Slaughter. GIBSON, Terry Wayne, age 52 of Manchester, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2014, at his residence. A native of Winchester, he was the son of the late George Franklin and Mary Ann Sons Gibson. He is survived by two sons, Keith Dewayne Gibson of Texas and Christopher Gibson of Manchester; one brother, Troy Dale Gibson of Manchester; four sisters, Teresa Ann Mitchell of Flintville, Rose Marie Jones of Flintville, Mary Mae Fabela of Petersburg and Deborah Wright of Manchester; one grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. SEARCY, Veronica Ann, age 51 of Manchester, passed way on Thursday, April 3, 2014, at the Life Care Center of Tullahoma. She was born on March 10, 1963, in Tularosa, NM, the daughter of Talmadge Searcy and Christine Searcy Roberts. Veronica graduated for St. Mary’s Academy in Navoo, IL in 1981. She then attended and graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in architectural engineering. Following graduation, she worked in drafting for the Army Corps of Engineers. Veronica was a wonderful painter and artist and had a special love for animals. She had the uncanny ability to communicate with the animals she rescued. She had a strong Christian faith. Veronica was preceded in death by her father, Talmadge Searcy. She is survived by her mother and step-father, Christine and Jim Roberts, her companion of over 20 years, Arthur “Bill” Leabo of Manchester; her sister, Angela Christine Williams and her husband David of Olathe, Kan.; one step-brother, Michael James Roberts and his wife, Marilyn of Vancouver, Wash.; nephews, Justin Searcy Williams and his wife, Amy of Olathe, Kan. and Alexander Roberts; nieces, Brittany Reinke and her husband, Keven of Overland Park, Kan. and Genevieve Roberts; great-nieces, Micah, Shelby and Brenna Williams; maternal aunt, Lucille Tims of Manchester; paternal aunts, Elwanda Searcy Templeton of Newport, Ark. and Linda Searcy Rorex and her husband Jim of Swifton, Ark.; cousins, Steven, Mike and Ronnie Templeton, Tammy, Sue Foster, Bo Rorex and Michelle Crouch. DEMOLL, John Proctor, age 62 of Winchester, our witty, unique, kind, good, beloved Poppa John entered into his eternal peace on Tuesday, April 1, 2014. He enjoyed working in the yard, planting flowers and watching their growth. He was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan. He welcomed his position as “Poppa John” to his grandbabies with open arms and an enormous smile, while his deepest joy was found loving his devoted wife, Lynn. He departs this life leaving with her a decade full of memories of laughter, late-night living room dancing, trips and their signature weekly “date nights.” His spirit and infectious smile will live in our hearts forever. He was the manager of the Franklin County Sanitation Dept., served on the Board for Interlocal Solid Waste and worked part-time at Wal-Mart. Preceding him in death were his parents, Theodore and Brenda deMoll. HUFFMAN, Elton Lavon, age 62 of Winchester, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2014, at his residence. A native of Franklin County, he was a son of the late Elton “E.C.” Huffman and Lula Mae Chapman Huffman. He was an appliance technician retired from Sears and was recently employed at Home Depot. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Huffman enjoyed hunting and fishing “off roading” and was an avid motorcycle rider and farmer. He is survived by his sons, Don Huffman and his wife Nicki of Lynchburg and Derrick Huffman of Tullahoma; daughter, Angela Moore and her husband Jeffery of Belvidere; grandchildren, Shana Boswell and her husband Ryan of Winchester, Camille Moore of Belvidere, Allison Huffman of Winchester, Jeb Huffman of Winchester, Jenipher Dobbs, Jonathan Dobbs, Jachlyne Dobbs and Jinger Dobbs, all of Lynchburg. He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Stein Huffman.
