Art show ‘Fantasy’ opens Friday with reception

The Franklin County Arts Guild announces the opening of the Community Arts Show “Fantasy” with a meet the artist reception Friday, beginning at 5 p.m. at the Artisan Depot in downtown Cowan.

The reception will feature music by the Bazzania Girls Band, a local folk group. The show will include a wide variety of imagined work from many local artists, including fanciful animals, all things fairy (including a fairy treehouse) and a magic guitar. The show will be open through June 14.

The Artisan Depot community art shows welcome original contributions from Franklin County artists of all ages in multiple types of art media for its Community Arts shows.

Membership in the Guild and gallery fees is not required for the shows. All work in the show is for sale.

The Artisan Depot is operated by the Franklin County Arts Guild. Gallery hours are noon to 5 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.
