Community Arts Show ‘It’s Just Trash’ opens Thursday
The Franklin County Arts Guild announces the opening of its Community Arts Show, “It’s Just Trash” on Thursday at the Artisan Depot, located at 201 E. Cumberland St. in Cowan.
The show will be open through Aug. 2.
It includes a wide variety of works made from recycled materials by many local artists in such mediums as wood, iron, plastic sculptures and a number of paintings.
A meet the artist reception will be held Friday starting at 5 p.m. at the Artisan Depot featuring music by the Die Gerschwister (who is known to play a polka now and then), with food and beer sponsored by J.P. Pawn and Gun, LLC.
The Artisan Depot community art shows welcome original contributions from Franklin County artists of all ages in multiple types of art media for its Community Arts shows.
Membership in the Guild and gallery fees are not required for the shows. All work in the show is for sale.
The Artisan Depot is operated by the Franklin County Arts Guild. Gallery hours are noon to 5 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.
