Members of the Chapman Chapel Church of the Nazarene have created a church food pantry to help out all who need help stocking their cabinets. Chapman’s Chapel is a well-known landmark in Pelham, having been in the community for more than 114 years. The church and its congregation has always had a heart for the people of not only Pelham, but the surrounding areas.
Adrian Seguin, marketing assistant, explains how the food pantry works.
“This year, we decided to share our love by trying to find ways to bless others,” Seguin said. “There is no charge for food and we gladly invite anyone to stop by and take some of the items. We also ask that you donate non-perishable items such as canned foods. Please join with us to share God’s love and our compassion to our neighbors.”
The little white church is located at 273 Chapman Chapel Road in Pelham where one will see a sign outside bearing the simple message, “Take What You Need / Leave What You Can.”
