Cowan Community Thanksgiving Service

Cowan Ministerial Association invites everyone to a service of thankfulness Sunday, Nov. 19, at 6 p.m. at Cowan First Church of the Nazarene.  Rev. John Daniels will speak. The host church will lead in music and song.  The church is located on West Cumberland Street in Cowan.  Overflow parking is available at First Baptist.

STLS presents Gourmet tasting – Spirits, food, music
Jan 21 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Everyone is invited to a gourmet tasting evening featuring spirits, food and music Saturday, Jan. 21, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Franklin County Country Club. Pritchard’s’ Spirits of Kelso, will offer samples of Tennessee rum, Sweet Lucy and other spirit concoctions for your tasting experience. A new spirit business located in Fayetteville, “Jackson Morgan Southern Cream Whiskey,” will also be featured. Presenting a large selection of wines from a variety of wineries will be Stones’ River Total Beverage of Murfreesboro. A selection of gourmet foods will be offered for tasting. Cynthia Grey, violinist and Nancy Jolley, pianist will entertain. Cost is $30 per person advance (tickets available from Southern Tennessee Ladies Society members or at Initial It on the Square). Tickets at the door are $35.

Mardi Gras Celebration

The Good Shepherd Parish Community invites the community to their Mardi Gras celebration Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, for age 21 and older at Monterrey Station in Cowan. Live entertainment from 7 to 11 p.m. will be provided by The Respectables Band and DJ. Catered by a professional chef, an a la carte gourmet buffet features traditional and untraditional Cajun cuisine and decadent desserts served from 6 to 8 p.m. as well as a silent auction featuring items donated by local and regional businesses. Cash bar available.
