Timothy Martin Tyler
A Franklin County Sheriff’s Office deputy has been released from jail on $10,000 bond after being arrested for allegedly tipping off a suspect he was going to be arrested.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) was asked to investigate Deputy Timothy Martin Tyler, 47, on June 26 on the accusation, according to a Sheriff’s Office press release.
TBI agents were able to develop information that Tyler allegedly provided a suspect with information about his impending arrest.
A Franklin County Grand Jury indicted Tyler on Monday with one count of misuse of official information. Tyler turned himself in to authorities Wednesday.
