Hornets drop road contest to rival Moore County

Huntland’s Dylan McCorkle moves down the first base line after collecting a single during a game Tuesday at Moore County High School. The hit was the only one of the day for the Hornets in the 8-1 loss.
The Huntland High School Hornets lost to the rival Moore County High School Raiders 8-1 on the road Tuesday for their 19th loss of the season.
 
The Hornets were held to just one hit and one run on the day as the Raiders pulled away in the middle innings.
 
With the loss, the Hornets moved to 7-19 on the season.

The Hornets will next play Wednesday at home against Moore County High School. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
