Hornets fall to South Greene in second game for Whitwell tourney

The Huntland Hornets fell to the South Greene High School Rebels 70-50 Friday in a game for the Whitwell Christmas Tournament.
The Hornets trailed for the entirety of the first half, but they were able to keep it close and trailed 33-26 at halftime.
The Hornets trailed by just two points after three quarters, however the Rebels went on a big run in the fourth to pull away and win by 20.
With the loss, the Hornets moved to 2-12 on the season.

The Hornets will next play Saturday in the seventh-place game against Whitwell High School. Tip-off is scheduled for 10:30 a.m.
