Middle school Hornets fall to Moore County to open football season

The Huntland Middle School Hornets opened their season Thursday in a 40-0 loss to the Moore County Middle School Raiders.
The Raiders dominated on the ground and forced four fumbles in the game to win decisively. The Hornets had a few drives get deep into the territory of the Raiders, but they were not able to get the ball into the end zone.
With the loss, the Hornets begin the season with a record of 0-1.

The Hornets will next play Aug. 17 at home against Highland Rim Middle School. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
