Molly/Abbie Softball Tournament concludes with winners in fun, competitive brackets

The Gattis Auto team went undefeated in the competitive bracket of the Molly/Abbie Softball Tournament Saturday to capture the championship. The team includes, front row, from left, Ryan Henn, Ronnie Lytle, Bre McCloud, and Lacey Grimes. In the back row are Paul Vann, Justin Gregory, Mike Davis, Matt McCloud and Kelly Davis.
The 18th annual Molly/Abbie Softball Tournament concluded at Winchester City Park Saturday as winning teams were crowned in both the fun and competitive divisions.
 
In the competitive bracket, the Gattis Auto team completed an undefeated run with a 32-21 victory over Cooper Sports to take the championship.
 
In the fun bracket, the tournament came down to the Shockers taking on Stew’s Crew. The Shockers won the first game 9-4 to force a decisive second game, but Stew’s Crew rebounded with a 16-9 win to capture the first place finish.
