The city of Winchester has already started planning its 2010-2011 fiscal year budget.

Department heads and council members met Thursday, March 25 to discuss the expectations for next year, and City Administrator Beth Rhoton stated that the fire department and park budgets are presently the biggest issues for the city, both looking to have increases.

Though no figures are definite, the Winchester Fire Department is projecting to need $857,425 in total funding compared to the $633,121 projected for the 2009-2010 fiscal year.
