Organization Educates Public on Wildlife

Since it’s start in 2006, the Tims Ford Environmental Association has been actively attempting to teach the public how to interact with wildlife.

LouAnn Partington, TFEEA chairman and certified wildlife rehabilitator, stated the organization actually began by accident.

"It was actually kind of a fluke because I had met Mark Robertson, park manager at the time, about something unrelated," she explained. "I found out he was at Tims Ford State Park…and we started talking about his desire to have a nature center and some non-releasable birds here for programs and extend what they were doing [at the park] with wildlife rehabilitation. Then we began looking for other people interested in helping.....
