The Franklin County Rebels lost to the Columbia Central High School Lions 52-49 on the road Friday for their fourth loss of the season.
The Rebels jumped out to an early lead behind three rushing touchdowns and led 21-18 at halftime.
The second half of the game featured nine total touchdowns as both offenses hit their stride, but the Lions scored two touchdowns in the final three minutes to hand the Rebels a narrow loss.
With the loss, the Rebels fell to an even 4-4 on the season.

The Rebels will have a bye week on Friday before returning to action on Oct. 20 in a road game against Lincoln County High School. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
