My last article included detailed information about Intramuscular Stimulation/Dry Needling or IMS/DN and how it can relax muscle spasms and relieve pain. In this article, I would like to talk about another therapy that I offer in my practice which is Spinal Decompression Therapy.
Spinal Decompression is the latest technology in traction which is used to treat neck and lower back pain. It has proven very beneficial in the treatment of spinal degeneration, arthritis, degenerative disc disease, bulging discs, and sciatica in a high percentage of patients. The traction therapy is administered on a table that looks similar to a chiropractic adjustment table or roller table with apparatuses attached to perform the traction or decompression. It is a very safe piece of equipment that delivers gentle traction of the joints of the neck and or lower back. When this gentle traction occurs, pressure between the spinal discs is relieved which allows blood flow to reach the area. Where there is blood flow, there are nutrients which the discs and tissues need in order to heal. Like all types of therapies and treatments, positive results are not guaranteed because each patient case is unique.
If you have any of the above mentioned health problems and would like to embark upon a noninvasive option for treatment, give us a call at Shull Chiropractic Clinic, PLLC at 931-967-4232. I am offering a complimentary consultation to anyone who would like see if they are a candidate for Spinal Decompression Therapy.
