Members of the Franklin County Garden Club will celebrate their 90th anniversary at the Franklin County Library on Friday.

The library is located at 105 South Porter Street in Winchester. The celebration will be held from 2-4 p.m. in the library’s meeting room. The community is invited to join in the observance.

City of Winchester Mayor Terry Harrell signed a proclamation acknowledging the week of June 2-8, 2019 as National Garden Club Week.

Club president Lola Eslick said, “Franklin County Garden Club will be celebrating this special week for gardeners who have a passion for nurturing the beauty and resources of the earth, through the planting of seeds, the care of plants, and the riches of their efforts. Our club enjoys the opportunity to work with our youth who are our future gardens. We are celebrating 90 years of continuous growing and blooming!”
