Free music

Relax and enjoy two more free outdoor concerts this summer in historic downtown Winchester.

The concerts will be held at the Kiwanis Club of Franklin County Downtown Amphitheater.

The next concert will be held Aug. 24 at 6 p.m. starring the Rock Candy Band. The Downtown Songwriter’s Night will be held in the same location at 7 p.m. on Aug. 29. The big end-of-summer bash is the Rising Sun Music Fest set for Sept. 7.

The Rock Candy band is a classic top 40 band, playing feel-good music that crosses over to any group or event.

Concessions will be available to purchase from the Kiwanis Club of Franklin County. Please bring a blanket or lawn chair and get set to unwind and enjoy these wonderful, carefree summer outings.

Making this event possible is the Kiwanis Club of Franklin County, Downtown Winchester, SLIM (Support Local Independent Music), the Rising Sun Music Fest Committee and WCDT Radio.

All area musicians are welcome to come join in the fun and show up ready to showcase your talent during the Downtown Songwriter’s Night Aug. 29.

The Downtown Songwriter’s Night Series is presented by SLIM.

The public is invited to bring a blanket and enjoy the shows.
