The Motlow Music Department will sponsor a free concert by The Piano Trio on Friday at Motlow State Community College on the Moore County campus.

The concert is open to the public and will be held in Powers Auditorium/Eoff Hall from 7-8:30 p.m.  The event is part of the Motlow Concert Series, featuring Motlow faculty musicians and guest artists.

The works of Jacquet de La Guerre, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Bruch, Ravel and The Buggles will be showcased.

Dr. David Bethea, Motlow tenured professor of music, will guide the audience through the historical evolution of music written for this chamber ensemble.

The Piano Trio performers will be Lisa Maurer, resident pianist and adjunct professor of music; John Harris, resident violinist and adjunct professor of music; and Kaitlyn Vest, guest cellist, Huntsville Symphony member and University of the South cello professor.
