Blood drive

As the coronavirus outbreak continues to spread in the U.S., Blood Assurance needs the public to schedule and keep donation appointments to ensure the continued adequacy of the blood supply. Please visit a donor center and continue to give blood during this pandemic crisis. Blood Assurance will give away an Echo Dot every week to one randomly chosen donor. Sept. 19

Arts and Ales

The sixth annual Arts and Ales has been postponed until Sept. 19 from noon to 5 p.m. at Monterey Station in Cowan. Enjoy beer, art, music, vendors, fun mob art projects and more. VIP tickets are $40 each. Regular tickets are $25 available at Artisan Depot Gallery located at 204 Cumberland St. in Cowan as well as other venues in the region. Spring hikes

Tennessee state parks have canceled their ranger-guided group spring hikes in the interest of public health and safety. State parks remain open for visitors and are great places to go for solo adventures and social distancing.

The Franklin County Courthouse and other government offices are closed in the interest of public health and safety.  The staff is reporting to work and taking telephone calls and payments over the telephone. The courthouse can be reached by calling 931-967-2541.

F.C. Senior Center

The Franklin County Senior Center is closed temporarily in the interest of public health and safety. Please call 931-967-9853 or email fcdirector@fcsc.comcastbiz.net for more information. The trip to Metropolis Casino on April 16 will be rescheduled.

Winchester Livery

The Winchester Livery is temporarily closed in the interest of public health and safety as the spread of COVID-19 continues. However, private events are at the public’s discretion. For info, call 931-962-3393.

Trails and Trilliums

The 17th annual Trails and Trilliums festival set for April 17-19 has been postponed. The Friends of South Cumberland State Park will reschedule.
