“Sewanee 1899 Unrivaled”
WCTE Central TN PBS will air the documentary film “Sewanee 1899 Unrivaled” tonight at 8 p.m. The film, produced by Sewanee alumni Norman Jetmundsen, C'76, and David Crews. C'76, tells the remarkable true story about the Sewanee football team of 1899. In the 140 years of college football, nothing else comes close to this team and its season. On Nov. 9-15, the 1899 Sewanee Football team took a six-day train trip, covering 2,500 miles. The Iron Men won five games, all on the road without allowing a single point.
