4-H Camp signup

Signups are under way through May 24 for 4-H Camp scheduled for June 10-14 at Clyde M. York 4-H Center in Crossville. Camp is open to any 4-H member in the fourth through sixth grades. Cost is $300. Call Franklin County UT Extension Office at 931-967-2741 for information.

Al-Anon meetings

Al-Anon’s “Peace and Serenity” group meets each Thursday from 7-8 p.m. at Winchester First United Methodist Church, 100 S. Jefferson St. in Winchester. The “Faith Alive” Al-Anon group meets Tuesdays at 7 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 101 Bragg Circle in Tullahoma. The “Serenity Seekers” meet Mondays and Fridays at 7 p.m. at Serenity House, 313 Collins Ave. in Tullahoma. All who are concerned about a loved one’s drinking are welcome.

Used book sale

Used book sale ongoing at Franklin County Library located at 105 S. Porter St. in Winchester.  Hours are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Info. 931-967-3706.

Free puppetry camp

Farmers Market

The Franklin County Farmers Market is open Saturdays from 7 a.m. to noon with local farmers offering spinach, lettuce, plants, meats, homemade goods, eggs and crafts.

Franklin County Republican Party will host an open forum, “Help Us Lead” featuring a question and answer session with elected leaders tonight at 6 p.m. in the large Franklin County Annex meeting room. All elected officials are invited to participate.

Crow Creek Valley BBQ fundraiser

Decoration Day at Estill Springs Cemetery

     Estill Springs Cemetery Committee invites everyone to Decoration Day Saturday starting at 10 a.m. at Estill Springs Cemetery located on Taylor Road in Estill Springs. Tools and American flags provided. Volunteers will be available to assist in cleaning and filling sunken graves. For history buffs and others, the committee will provide fascinating historical information. This cemetery is one of the oldest in Franklin County with burials dating from 1821, including at least 17 marked Civil War graves.
