Narcotics Anonymous meetings are held Wednesdays and Saturdays at 7 p.m. at Decherd United Methodist Church, 300 E. Main St., Decherd. Alcoholics Anonymous meetings are Mondays and Thursdays at 7 p.m. at 100 S. Jefferson St., Winchester. For information on AA, call 866-641-9190; NA, 866-801-6621.
The Estill Springs Lions Club will hold turkey shoots this Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. each day at the Roger Crawford property, 308 Rock Creek Road (just off Highway 41A) in Estill Springs. Enjoy rounds for turkeys, hams and cash prizes with a $5 contribution to help fund Lions Club projects. Shells will be provided and must be used. Only standard hunting-type guns will be permitted. Concessions will be available. Please bring non-perishables to be donated to a local church.
A Veterans Day program will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Farmers Market Pavilion on Dinah Shore Boulevard in Winchester. Col. Wayne Steele will be the guest speaker. All are welcome. All veterans and their spouses are also invited to the VFW afterward for a meal.
Meet and greet Dr. Elizabeth Taylor
Everyone is invited to a meet and greet for Dr. Elizabeth Taylor on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the American Legion building, located on North Vine Street in Winchester. Dr. Taylor will speak on Camp Forrest. Refreshments will be served and a book signing will be held.
Drive-thru food pickup
Winchester First Baptist Church will hold a free drive-thru food pickup Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. All in need are welcome.
The Ladies’ Division of the Franklin County Republican Party will meet for a Dutch treat breakfast on Nov. 18 at 10 a.m. at SUNRISE (The Breakfast Place) in Decherd. Join in the fellowship, listen to plans for the Christmas party and ask elected officials any questions you might have.
Free art event
Everyone is invited to a free art event, “Preserving Personhood through the Arts,” on Nov. 20 at the South Jackson Civic Center, 404 S. Jackson St., Tullahoma. This event is presented by Alzheimer’s Tennessee and Southern Tennessee Regional Health System and will feature an evening of music, visual arts, stories and inspiration featuring Daniel C. Potts, M.D. Original photographs and harp music will begin at 6:30 p.m. followed by a presentation at 7 p.m.
FCHS Class of ‘61
The Franklin County High School Class of 1961 will hold its fifth Tuesday dinner at Skip’s Grill on Nov. 30 at 5:30 p.m. This is a Dutch treat affair with fellowship, stories and food.
