F.C. Senior Center new hours

Franklin County Senior Center hours have been adjusted. Hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is closed on Fridays.

Grundy County Fair & Bigfoot Fall Festival

Bigfoot Adventure, 518 Brawley Road, Tracy City, is hosting the Grundy County Fair and Bigfoot Fall Festival Thursday through Saturday with offerings for all ages, live music, ziplines, carnival rides, food trucks, fireworks, a petting zoo, hot-air balloon rides, a video game truck, a dunking booth and more. 60th class reunion

Franklin County High School Class of 1961’s 60th class reunion is Saturday at the Red Roof Pavilion in Winchester City Park. Classmates will salute Mr. Rebel with a meal suitable for a tailgate party. Wear a game day T-shirt. Donations are appreciated to cover the meal. All are welcome to attend, whether members of the 1961 class or not.

Free movie night

The Tullahoma Utilities Authority will offer a free movie night Saturday on their business grounds, 901 S. Jackson St., Tullahoma. The movie is Disney’s “Raya and the Last Dragon.” Everyone is welcome to bring a blanket or lawn chair. TUA will provide drinks, pizza and popcorn.

Commodity distribution

A commodity food distribution for Franklin County residents only will be held Tuesday from 10 a.m. to noon at 1041 Wilton Circle, Winchester. This is a drive-up only event. Clients must stay in vehicles with window rolled up and show commodity printout or identification. Staff will place food in vehicles. Info, call 931-967-1438.

Fallfest

The public is invited to Fallfest Oct. 7-9, hosted by the Southern Tennessee Ladies’ Society Scholarship Foundation. Online sales will be held Oct. 7 from 1-2 p.m. featuring a variety of fall-inspired items for sale including baked goods, home décor and more. Simply go to the STLS Facebook page and look for “Live Video.” Online items may be picked up Oct. 8-9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Franklin County Country Club. In-person sales will be held Oct. 8-9, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Franklin County Country Club, 912 Country Club Road, Winchester. All are welcome.

Wine, Whiskers & Fancy Treats

Everyone is invited to Wine, Whiskers and Fancy Treats, featuring wine, heavy hors d’oeuvres and music on the beautiful, outdoor patio at LaBella Pearl’s in Sewanee on Oct. 9 at 5:30 p.m. Proceeds benefit Animal Harbor, a limited-admission animal shelter facility serving Franklin County, operated by members of the Franklin County Humane Society, a private nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.Tickets are $62.40, available at animalharbor.org or by calling 931-962-4472.

Bonfire night

The Franklin County Republican Party will hold a bonfire night at the Peters-Davis farm behind Factory Furniture in Estill Springs on Oct. 14 at 6 p.m. Enjoy barbecue and trimmings, desserts and s’mores by the fire. Donations will be appreciated for the Republican Party. Congressman Scott DesJarlais will speak. All leaning Republicans and future candidates are invited.

Fall/Christmas Craft Fair

The Franklin County Senior Citizens Center will host its annual Fall/Christmas Craft Fair Oct. 23 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Franklin County Annex Building community room and lobby, 851 Dinah Shore Blvd., Winchester.
