Food giveaway

Morton Memorial Church, 322 West Main St., Monteagle, will hold a monthly curbside food distribution Saturday from 8-10 a.m., rain or shine. Please wear a mask and remain in your car. Ask for a mask if you don’t have one. Enter behind the church to be directed to the loading area. Volunteers will be available to load your car. Please make room in your car for your groceries before getting to the church. All in need are welcome.

St. Thomas Mobile Health Unit

The St. Thomas Mobile Health Unit will be open for patients Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Morton Memorial United Methodist Church, 322 West Main St., Monteagle. It is open to all and no appointment is required. Please wear a mask or ask to have one provided. Limited services include medications when needed, acute illness treatment (no COVID testing), well-child exams (no immunizations), adult flu shots (high-dose not available) and physicals. No opioids available. All patient costs are covered by a grant from the South Cumberland Community Fund. If insured, the service will file insurance. Copays, deductibles, etc. are covered.
