Faith & Recovery Workshop
The community is invited to join in for a free Faith and Recovery Workshop tonight from 6-8 p.m. at Cowan Fellowship Church, 609 Cumberland St. E., Cowan. The workshop will focus on the role the faith community plays in the journey of one seeking recovery. Light refreshments will be served.
Grocery & food distribution
Christ the King Anglican Church, 1231 Cumberland St., Decherd, in association with Feed America First, will distribute food and other groceries to those in need in the community on a first-come, first-serve basis on Saturday starting at 9 a.m. Attendees are asked to remain in their vehicle once in the church parking lot.
Morton Memorial Church, 322 W. Main St., Monteagle, will hold a curbside food distribution Saturday from 8-10 a.m. for all in need. In addition to the regular nonperishable items, free produce will be offered. Drivers should enter the line from behind the church. Volunteers will assist with loading if needed.
The Unitarian Universalist Church, 3536 New Manchester Hwy., Tullahoma welcomes this Sunday’s 10 a.m. speaker, Rachel Rogers, talking on, “Seekers of Joy and Justice.” The service will be followed by refreshments and a discussion period. Tullahoma Sangha, a Zen Buddhist meditation and study group, meets Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Unitarian Universalist Church, 3536 New Manchester Hwy., Tullahoma. Cowan Fellowship Church, 609 Cumberland St. E., Cowan, will offer a children’s Wonderful Wednesday program each Wednesday in July from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Each program will include music, art, recreation, Bible instruction and a light meal.
