National Day of Prayer

Franklin County’s National Day of Prayer event is today at noon at the old football field next to the Annex building, 839 Dinah Shore Blvd., Winchester. In case of rain, the event will move inside to the Annex Community Room.

Unitarian Universalist

Tullahoma Sangha

Tullahoma Sangha, a Zen Buddhist meditation and study group, meets each Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Unitarian Universalist Church, 3536 New Manchester Hwy., Tullahoma.  The service will consist of zazen (meditation), a short lesson, and discussion.   Newcomers are welcome to call ahead for a short orientation at 5:45 p.m. For information, call 931-588-8935.

Food distribution

Morton Memorial Church, 322 W. Main St., Monteagle, will hold their monthly curbside food distribution May 14 from 8-10 a.m. Enter from behind the church. Volunteers will be available to help load if needed.

Faith & Recovery Workshop

The community is invited to join in for a free Faith and Recovery Workshop on May 19 from 5-7 p.m. at Cowan Fellowship Church, 609 Cumberland St. E., Cowan. The workshop will focus on the role the faith community plays in the journey of one seeking recovery. Light refreshments will be served.

Wonderful Wednesdays

Cowan Fellowship Church, 609 Cumberland St. E., Cowan, will offer a children’s Wonderful Wednesday program each Wednesday in July from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Each program will include music, art, recreation, Bible instruction and a light meal.
