Grocery giveaway

Christ the King Anglican Church, located at 1231 Cumberland St., Decherd, in association with Feed America First, will distribute food and groceries to those in need in the community on a first-come, first-serve basis Saturday beginning at 9 a.m.

Clothing & more giveaway

Clothing and more giveaway Saturday starting at 9 a.m. at Agape Ministries, 35 S. Porter St., Winchester. Everyone is welcome.

Christmas concert toy drive

Everyone is invited to a Christmas concert toy drive Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at the Huntland Community Center, 100 Moore Lane, starring The Gardners, River of Grace and the Sims Family in concert. Please bring an unwrapped toy to donate to the Huntland Fire Department toy drive.

Singing

Huntland Missionary Baptist Church, located at 306 Alabama St., Huntland, will hold a singing featuring The Sims Family Sunday at 10:30 a.m. A fellowship meal follows. Pastor Bruce Shockley invites everyone.

Thanksgiving service

The various Cowan churches will gather for their annual Cowan Community Thanksgiving service at Cowan Fellowship Church Sunday at 5 p.m. with Rev. Bill Welch from the Nazarene Church and special music by the First Baptist Choir.  The service will include a non-perishable food collection to support New Creation Ministries.  Cowan Fellowship is located at 609 E. Morton Memorial UMC

Morton Memorial United Methodist Church welcomes everyone to Sunday service with Pastor Jodi McCullah who will be sharing Jesus’ admonition not to worry, found in Matthew 6:25-34. A nursery and children’s time in worship is available each Sunday. Free-flowing discussions with seminary and university students continue at 9 a.m. each Sunday at Stirling’s Coffee House on the Sewanee campus. Jack and Jeanine Jacobs convene the group, but topics are chosen by students. Everyone is welcome regardless of their denominational background or where they are on their journey of faith.

Unitarian Universalist

Chuck Morgret will speak on “The First Thanksgiving – the Rest of the Story” Sunday at 10 a.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 3536 New Manchester Hwy. in Tullahoma. Everyone is welcome.  Refreshments and discussion period follow.

Christmas program

Morton Memorial United Methodist Church in Monteagle welcomes everyone to their traditional Christmas program Dec. 15 at 5 p.m. featuring Appalachian and Southern spiritual music, storytelling and instrumental performances.
