The University of the South will host its ninth annual Campus Gallery Walk on Saturday.

The event is free and open to the public. An exhibit called “Allegiance” will be in the University Art Gallery from 10 a.m. to noon by award-winning artist Diedrick Brackens who presents an allusive and thoughtful exploration of identity and symbols in woven cotton tapestries.

Viewers are urged to consider landscape as both a place and an idea in Mary Stuart Hall’s two-channel video and sound installation called “Sympathetic Dissonance” in the Carlos Gallery of the Nabit Art Building.

Celebrate the legacy of women at Sewanee with “Skirts and Gowns” in the Museum Gallery, William R. Laurie Archives and Special Collections, which was curated by students in the Introduction to Museum Studies class for 2019.

The Alumni Arts Showcase will be in Spencer Commons. Receptions crafted by Sewanee Dining will respond to the exhibitions, and dance and musical performances inspired by the exhibitions will take place in multiple locations on the campus.
