Austin Peay State University’s Office of Student Life and Engagement has announced its 2020 student leaders of the month.
Talia Corn of Franklin County, a senior at APSU, was named student leader of the month for November 2020.
She was nominated by Jo Baldwin and Lynne Halliburton for her work supporting the university’s COVID-19 case work as an unpaid intern.
She is working toward a degree in health and human performance.
Student leaders of the month at APSU are selected based on their willingness to go above and beyond their responsibilities as well as their dedication to serving their peers.
“Talia is a very quick study. She is kind, incredibly helpful, diligent, and a great worker,” Halliburton said. “She has been a godsend to the student affairs office, providing much-needed assistance. The Austin Peay community is greatly appreciative.”
Baldwin added, “Talia is not receiving any pay and goes above and beyond the scope of what she was brought in to do.”
