Centering Prayer Support group

     Those who love God, nature and prayer are invited to Taylor’s Creek Greenway in Estill Springs on Wednesdays at 9 a.m. for a refreshing time in God’s presence along the picturesque, gurgling banks of Taylor’s Creek. Centering prayer is the silent prayer of the heart, resting in God’s presence beyond words. Enjoy two sits of prayer with a nature walk in between. Friends & Family Day

     Everyone is invited to Friends and Family Day Sunday starting at 10 a.m. at Christian Tabernacle located on Hwy. 64 just past the Nissan plant in Decherd. Enjoy fun games for all ages, blow up inflatables, free food, drinks and more.

Frame Cemetery Decoration Day

     Frame Cemetery, located in the Hurdlow Community of Moore County, will host its annual decoration day on Sunday with a covered dish lunch at 1 p.m. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Donations will be appreciated. All are welcome.

Family & Friends Day

     Family and Friends Day May 5 at 10:30 a.m. at Huntland Missionary Baptist Church, 306 Alabama St. in Huntland. Enjoy special singing by The Glory Echoes. A fellowship meal will follow. Pastor Bruce Shockley invites everyone.

Unitarian Universalist

     Unitarian Universalist Church of Tullahoma’s speaker this Sunday at 10 a.m. will be Chuck Morgret speaking on, "The Interdependent Web - An Exploration of Our Seventh Principle.”  The service will be followed by refreshments and a discussion period.  The church is located at 3536 New Manchester Hwy in Tullahoma.

Statewide camp meeting

     Statewide camp meeting Tuesday through Saturday hosted by the Church of God in Tennessee. Monday’s meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. at Marion County Park, 9696 Hwy. 41 in Jasper. Tuesday through Friday meetings times are at 10:30 a.m., 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. A live auction for the Army of Compassion will be held May 11 starting at 10 a.m. Items are needed for the auction and may be brought to the event. Artist to create Portrait of Christ in clay

 Everyone is invited to share in a free, spiritually uplifting experience as artist Tracy Sugg sculpts a Portrait of Christ in clay as viewers watch and learn May 18 at 4 p.m. at St. Mary’s Sewanee, 770 St. Mary’s Lane in Sewanee.  Sugg will create a unique sculpture of Jesus Christ in real-time accompanied by inspirational music. The event will be followed by a reception with light refreshments. Because of generous underwriting by an anonymous donor, the Portrait of Christ is free and open to the public. Wings of Hope Widow’s Ministry

     All area widows are invited to the Wings of Hope Widow’s Ministry meeting May 20. Meet at 4 p.m. at First United Methodist Church on Jefferson Street, just off the Square in Winchester. Wear red, white and blue for a visit to area nursing homes to sing. Following the singing, the group will meet at a local restaurant for a Dutch treat supper.
