Animal Harbor has a number of adoptable pets just waiting for their forever home.
This week, Animal Harbor is spotlighting Monk and Zenyatta.
Monk is a three-year-old pit mix who got his name from his coat color and serious facial expressions.
Emily Holland, shelter manager said, “Monk is a very big boy, but just one big teddy bear who demands your love and attention. Animal Harbor staff recognizes huge potential in this very friendly, gentle dog.”
Monk has some skin sensitivities and with regular maintenance and a quality diet, he will continue to thrive in the future.
The staff at Animal Harbor believe Monk would be a great fit for a wide variety of families willing to put the time and energy into his needs.
Holland said, “He is great with other dogs and doesn’t mind cats, but his large size and strength may not be well suited for a home with small children unless he is thoroughly trained to respect boundaries.”
Monk is fully vaccinated, heartworm-negative, microchipped, and neutered.
Zenyatta is a ten-week-old, small but spunky dilute calico kitten.
Holland said, “Named after a winning race-horse, we think Zenyatta is destined for greatness.”
Zenyatta is a playful kitty who would love to go into a loving home with a family that will give her a second chance at life.
She is up to date on vaccinations, FEV/FeLV negative, and awaiting her spay and microchip procedure when she becomes old enough.
She is ready to go into the shelter’s “foster to adopt” program.
