Animal Harbor has a number of adoptable pets just waiting for their forever home.

This week, Animal Harbor is spotlighting Elwood, Jake Blues and Prue Halliwell.

Elwood and Jake Blues are two sweet and loving husky mix brothers that were abandoned.

Shelter manager Emily Holland said, “They were dropped at a nice man’s home, and he was able to foster the brothers until we had space to take them in.”

The staff has discovered that Elwood has a goofy, laid back personality while Jake is a little more serious and the leader of the pack. Elwood and Jake are up-to-date on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped and heartworm-negative.

Animal Harbor would like to see the dogs adopted together, although it is not a requirement.

Prue Halliwell is a 4-month-old, precious tortoiseshell kitten with two matching sisters whose story is one of survival and love.

Named after the sitcom “Charmed,” Prue was found abandoned in a cardboard box and was left to die before being taken to Animal Harbor for a second chance at life by a caring citizen.

“After being medically quarantined for several weeks upon arrival, we are so excited to say the litter has moved into a cat community room where they are finally getting to live as happy, playful kittens,” Holland said. “Prue is becoming more comfortable around people and would love to live the rest of her life in a home where she is truly valued and appreciated as the wonderful cat she is.”

Prue is FIV/FeLV negative, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed and microchipped.

Animal Harbor is located at 56 Nor-Nan Road in Winchester.

The limited-admission animal shelter facility is operated by members of the Franklin County Humane Society, a private nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.
