The AEDC Woman’s Club kicked off a new year of meetings on Sept. 5.
Club member Barb McGuire said, “The meeting was a tremendous celebration to start off a new year of meetings with a patriotic theme.”
Club members welcomed AEDC Commander Jeff Geraghty and their honorary president, Nora Geraghty.
Singer and songwriter Judy Paster sang several songs she had written.
Table donations collected were earmarked for the Good Samaritan Ministries of Franklin County.
The AEDC Woman’s Club will welcome Leigh Gardner, Tennessee park ranger at Old Stone Fort State Archaeological Park, as their guest speaker at their Oct. 3 meeting.
Come and learn about Gardner’s responsibilities which include law enforcement, medical response and interpretive programming.
A main component of her job involves interacting with park visitors and teaching them about the history and ecology of the park.
Table donations for the upcoming meeting will be given to Shepherd’s House of Tullahoma.
Members welcome guests to their meetings held each month at the Arnold Lakeside Club located at 4175 Westover Road in Tullahoma.
McGuire said: “Come and meet the wonderful members, be involved with programs and become a member. You do not need to have military connections or be involved with the base to come and visit and become a member.”
The social hour of the meeting starts at 9:30 a.m. at the Lakeside Club followed by the business meeting and program at 10 a.m. Reservations for the October meeting must be made no later than noon on Sept. 26 by contacting Liz at firstname.lastname@example.org or 931-393-2552 or Stephanie at email@example.com or 931-434-5415.
