All veterans are invited to area events aimed at saluting them on Veterans Day.

North Middle School students invite everyone to their art show and reception, “A Salute to Veterans,” tonight from 6-8 p.m. at the Franklin County Art Guild’s Artisan Depot Gallery and Gift Shop located at 204 Cumberland St. East in Cowan.

Please join in at Tims Ford State Park to show appreciation for America’s veterans while enjoying the fun and natural beauty of Tims Ford State Park during their Veterans Day color run/walk 5K on Monday from 2-5 p.m.

This family-friendly event will take participants through beautiful wooded areas near the lake, along many of the paved hiking trails of Tims Ford State Park.

Cost is $25 for adults. Children 12 years and younger are free but will not receive a T-shirt.

Veterans should call the park office to register. Late registration is $30 and T-shirts may not be available.

Winchester will hold a Veterans Day parade at 2 p.m. Sunday in downtown Winchester. Wear your patriotic colors and come and salute area veterans.

Everyone is invited to a Veterans Day program Monday at 11 a.m. on the Winchester Square, sponsored by VFW Post 1893.

The Manchester Veterans Day parade and ceremony will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Lineup will be at Raider Academy with a ceremony on the Manchester Square. Vendors and entertainment will be available so bring a lawn chair and enjoy.

The Tullahoma American Job Center is planning a “Remembering Veterans Day” hiring event today from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

The event, open to the public, will be held at the Manchester Coffee County Conference Center, 147 Hospitality Blvd., Manchester.

Employers from surrounding counties will be on hand, as well as community resource providers. Priority of service will be provided to registered veterans. Register at www.jobs4tn.gov.

Middle Tennessee State University will hold its 38th annual Salute to Veterans on Nov. 16 at 1500 Greenland Dr. in Murfreesboro.

The memorial service will be at 3:30 p.m. with a free pre-game picnic for veterans at 4:30 p.m. The Joe Nunley Award will be presented at 5:30 p.m., and the kickoff for the football game between MTSU and Rice will be at 7 p.m.
