A Franklin County deputy was seriously injured early Sunday when he lost control of his patrol vehicle which hit a utility pole and overturned while responding to an emergency call.
Sgt. Chris Guess, Sheriff's Office public information officer, said the deputy, whom he did not immediately identify, was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville by an air ambulance helicopter. He said he did not know the extent of the deputy's condition.
Guess said the deputy was driving on Bible Crossing Road when he lost control going around a curve at about 2 a.m.
He said more information will released when it becomes available.
