Grant Gipson, executive director of the Winchester Downtown Program, was chosen as the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce’s ambassador of the month.
Gipson enjoys serving as an ambassador with the Chamber.
“My favorite thing about being an ambassador is getting to meet the people behind our local businesses,” he said. “For this reason, I thoroughly enjoy attending ribbon cuttings to hear the stories of how individuals are achieving their goals. Behind every good business are even better people!”
The Franklin County Library is a favorite attraction for Gipson.
“The Franklin County Library provides countless opportunities for all ages for free,” he said. “Organizationally, their programming is phenomenal and their enthusiasm is contagious.”
Gipson enjoys reading, cycling and playing fetch with his dog, Ruby. He is also a huge Elton John fan.
“My mother raised me right," he jokes. “I waited over 12 hours to see him from the front row at Bonnaroo in 2014.”
