Rachel Alexandria Henn and William Andrew Shields of Decherd happily announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Cindy and Stan Henn of Winchester.
She is the granddaughter of Judy and Stan Henn Sr. of Fort Myers Beach, Florida and the late Donna Sue and Dale Gulley of Decherd.
The bridegroom-elect is the son of Brian and Christy Shields of Decherd.
He is the grandson of Geneva and Kenneth Shields of Sewanee, Kay and Jack Smoyak of Manchester and the late George Garner of Sherwood.
Miss Henn is a 2011 graduate of Franklin County High School and a 2015 graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree.
She was president of the Alpha Omicron Pi sorority at MTSU. She is employed as a sixth grade math teacher at North Middle School as well as the girls soccer coach and track coach for North.
Miss Henn is the owner of Southern Sister Mobile Boutique.
Mr. Shields is a 2009 graduate of Franklin County High School. He attended East Tennessee State University in Johnson City and is employed as a licensed electrician for Triple E Electric based out of Whitwell.
The couple will exchange wedding vows in an evening ceremony on Saturday, June 22, 2019, at Murfreesboro’s Saddle Woods Farm.
