Huntland High School senior Jacob Collins has made history at his school by achieving something no other student at the school has.

Collins, who will graduate in June from Huntland, will also graduate this month summa cum laude from Motlow State Community College with two Associate of Science degrees.

Huntland Principal Ken Bishop explains this student’s amazing triumph.

“Jacob set a goal as a sophomore to be the first Huntland High School student to graduate from Motlow by the end of his high school senior year,” Bishop said. “And he has made Huntland School history for being the first to graduate with two Associate of Science degrees from Motlow while also graduating as a senior from Huntland High School.”

The entire Huntland High School staff as well as Collins’ peers send congratulations for a job well done. He plans to further his studies at Tennessee Tech, where he will prepare for a career in accounting.
