Life Force is having a special member-appreciation day on Oct. 5 at Winchester City Park from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The helicopter air ambulance service, which operates from Winchester Municipal Airport, is holding the event to extend gratitude to its members who have subscribed to AirMedCare Network packages, starting at $65 annually, which pay entirely for air ambulance transports.

Robert Keen, Life Force membership sales manager, summed up what the gathering is about.

“It’s to say thank you to all our members and let them know we appreciate their support and to the community that has provided that support,” he said, adding that Life Force is deeply committed to Franklin County residents.

Keen said the appreciation day events will include food and refreshments, a bounce house for children, DJs, helicopter demonstrations and an introduction of the flight crew that serves the area.

He said political officials are coming to the event and some major music celebrities who support what Life Force does in rural areas could make appearances.
