A motorist was injured and transported by an A&E Emergency Services LLC ambulance to Southern Tennessee Regional Health System-Winchester on Thursday night following a two-vehicle collision on Highway 64 at the Holder’s Cove Road intersection, authorities said.
According to officials, the two vehicles involved in the 6:30 p.m. accident were a Nissan Versa hatchback and a Chevy Silverado pickup truck.
Damage was extensive on the Silverado’s right side while the Versa fared much worse and sustained heavy damage to its front end.
According to firefighters at the scene, an occupant of the Nissan required the attention of an A&E Emergency Services LLC Advanced Life Support crew before being transported to the hospital.
The pickup truck's occupants did not require emergency medical treatment, officials said.
Responding agencies included the Winchester Police and Fire departments, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and A&E Emergency Services LLC.
The accident is under investigation. No further information was immediately available.
