A motorist was injured and transported by an A&E Emergency Services LLC ambulance following a Friday afternoon two-vehicle collision on Lynchburg Road near Fairview Road in Winchester.
The two vehicles involved in the 1:35 p.m. collision were a Ford Ranger pickup truck and a Chevy Alero sedan.
According to first responders, the impact apparently caused the Ford Ranger to leave the roadway and roll or possibly even flip over.
Though damage to both vehicles was severe, it is believed that all motorists and passengers were wearing seatbelts, authorities said, and this likely prevented more serious injuries.
Responding agencies included deputies with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, the Tennessee Highway Patrol, firefighters with the Broadview Volunteer Fire Department, and two Advanced Life Support crews and ambulances with A&E Emergency Services LLC.
The injured motorist was transported to Southern Tennessee Regional Health System--Winchester.
