Although there was extensive damage to the two vehicles involved in a head-on collision on Baxter Lane in Winchester Monday afternoon, no injuries were reported.
The accident occurred at about 4 p.m. on a sharp curve in the road near Baxter Enterprises, officials said. The two vehicles involved in the crash were a Ford F-150 pickup truck and an Infiniti four-door sedan.
Though the damage to the Infiniti looked severe enough to indicate injured motorists, the vehicle’s airbags, seatbelts and crumple zones all functioned as designed, and the occupants walked away with no injuries, officials said.
The driver of the Ford F-150 was also unharmed in the collision, officials said.
First responders included the Winchester Police and Fire departments and an advanced-life-support ambulance from A&E Emergency Services LLC.
