School board member Caycee Hanger Roberts with North Lake Elementary teachers

North Lake Elementary School held a welcome-back tailgate party on July 30 to give students and their families an opportunity to meet teachers and enjoy a light supper.

Students and their families had hot dogs, chips, drink and a cookie while meeting their teacher and visiting information tents.

The school staff thanked all those who participated in the event including Eric Vanzant with Campora, Jene Cooper with Hands on Science Center and the Franklin County Sheriff's Department.

Each set up a tent and shared information on the many resources available to local families.

North Lake Elementary staff also thanked their school's PTO for providing spirit wear to purchase as well as information on how to get involved at North Lake. The staff appreciates school board member Caycee Hanger Roberts for stopping by and supporting their event.
