The following activities are planned at the Franklin County Senior Center.
Located at 74 Clover Dr. in Winchester, the center is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Membership is $24 per year. Amenities include exercise rooms, a billiard room, a ceramics room, a quilting room, a thrift shop, a library and a computer room.
Lunch is available at 11 a.m. with an open dining room. Seniors are asked to schedule lunches with the kitchen.
Most activities are free, however small fees may be required for certain extra activities.
Every Friday at 10 a.m., seniors can get free blood pressure checks with Avalon Hospice.
On Aug. 5 at 10 a.m., enjoy a free seminar from Solomon Hayes with the Legal Aid Society.
Bottled water is free. Coffee is served by the kitchen staff for 50 cents per cup.
A suggestion box is available in the dining room as well as a donation box. All donations are appreciated.
Seniors are not required to wear face masks but are advised to continue to practice social distancing whenever possible. For more information, call 931-967-9853.

Fridays, 9-10 a.m., tai chi with Dr. Anderson; 9:45 a.m., brain games; 10:30 a.m., bingo.
The ceramics room is open Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to noon.
Brain games are held every Monday and Friday at 9:30 a.m.
Bingo is every Monday and Friday at 10:30 a.m.
Dining room games are held after lunch.
Card games include Ladies Bridge on the first and third Tuesday, fourth Monday and fourth Wednesday.
Ladies Rook is held the first, third and fifth Wednesday at 11 a.m. and the second and fourth Thursday at 10 a.m.
Gentlemen’s Rook is Monday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
