Stabbing Reported in Estill Springs

Law enforcement personnel from Estill Springs and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office respond to a stabbing incident at 556 Tanglewood Trail in Estill Springs about 2:15 p.m. Wednesday. Reports said a woman, identified as Tobi Toler, had been stabbed in the stomach and left hand and was taken to Southern Tennessee Regional Health System in Winchester to be treated and released. The male suspect, identified as Paul Holland, attempted to commit suicide and, after fleeing the scene, was caught by law enforcement and taken to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga to be treated for self-inflicted wounds to the chest, authorities said. He was reported in stable condition as of press time Wednesday. Holland was charged with attempted homicide and domestic violence assault. A nearby Rock Creek Elementary School was temporarily put on lockdown until authorities had contained the crime scene.
