BAUER, Frances Irene Southard, age 76, of Hillsboro, departed this life on Monday, Feb. 10, 2020, at her residence following an extended illness. Ms. Bauer was born on Oct. 8, 1943, in Paint Rock, Alabama, to the late Beulah Mae Oliver Southard and Norval “Little Daddy” Southard. She was a Christian. Ms. Bauer was retired from U.T.S.I. where she was employed as a press operator. After her retirement she worked at Tepro for approximately five years before she left their employment. Ms. Bauer was an avid reader and enjoyed working crossword puzzles. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her great-grandson. In addition to her parents, Ms. Bauer was preceded in death by her son, Troy Tate; brothers, Loyce Southard and Carmine Terri; step-father, Paul Terri; and niece, Kellie Moye. She is survived by her daughters, Sheila Solomon of Tullahoma and Misty (Dion) Cyree of Tullahoma; granddaughter, Michelle (Cody) Rhoton of Hillsboro; great-grandson, Matthew Rhoton; sisters, Bertie Ruth Stanley of Winchester, Joyce Moye of Belvidere and Gayle Southard of Hazelcrest, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday, Feb. 13, 2020, from 4-7 p.m. at Grant Funeral Services in Estill Springs. Funeral services are scheduled Thursday, Feb. 13, 2020, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Bro. Kevin Rhoton officiating.
