ADAMS, Darrell Wayne Jr., age 50 of Winchester, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2019, at his residence. He was born in Casa Grande, Arizona on March 1, 1969. Darrell spent his childhood in California and later moved to Tennessee as an adult. He was a licensed CNA and also worked at Walmart and Papa John’s Pizza. Darrell was an avid sports fan, especially Golden State basketball, Yankee baseball and New Orleans Saints. He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Ann Powell; mom, Virginia “Ginger” Bosma; son, Brian Keith Adams; sister, Loretta Alverado; and brother, Lucky Adams. Survivors include his wife, Tanya Garren Adams of Winchester; children, Matthew Adams, Miranda (Roger) Lecure, Jordan (Keauna) Corcilius, Veronica Adams and Jackquline Corcilius; father, Darrell Wayne Adams Sr.; grandchildren, Christopher, Colton, Valerie, Bailey, Isabella, Layla, Hollie, Daisy and Montana; sisters, Nancy (Glenn) Rose, Bobbi Jo (Helio) Amaral, Marsha (Mark) Knight and Michelle Adams; brothers, Jerry Goodwill, Scott Goodwill and William Bosma; and a host of nieces and nephews. AMACHER, Leon, age 87 of Winchester, was called home on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2019. He was born on Aug. 28, 1931. Leon was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Gordon Amacher and Hattie Lou Stovall Amacher of Estill Springs and his eldest brother, Charles Kenneth Amacher of Estill Springs. He is survived by one sister, Margaret Amacher Tucker of Tullahoma; three brothers, James Earl and wife Virginia Amacher of Lynchburg, Lenn J. and wife Carolyn Amacher of Winchester and Teddy Wayne Amacher of Tullahoma; one daughter, Janice Amacher and husband Mike Tatum of Tullahoma; one son, Stanley Dwight Amacher of Tullahoma; grandchildren, Jeremy Amacher, Jayda Eslick, Joshua Amacher, Jillian Tatum, Jenna Amacher and Jamilyn (Adam) Koester; and 11 great-grandchildren. Leon was a contractor and businessman and worked in many different fields and areas. However, his greatest occupation and accomplishment was that of a loving father and grandfather. CROWNOVER, Spencer Lee, age 43 of Decherd, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2019, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was born in Winchester on Jan. 19, 1976. Spencer was a 1995 graduate of Franklin County High School and then graduated from the Shelbyville Technical School in 1997. He was employed by CMC Trucking (Truck #104) and enjoyed farming as well. He loved dirt track racing, working on dirt cars, riding four-wheelers and trips to Gatlinburg. Spencer attended the Estill Springs Baptist Church and was a volunteer fireman with Decherd and the Alto Oak Grove Community. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jodi Renee Crownover; grandfathers, Thomas Edward Spencer and Mark Franklin “Pete” Crownover; aunt, Alice Marie Cathy; father-in-law, Jim “Fire Daddy” Hill; and cousin, Cody Clay Crosslin. CORN, Dorothy A., age 91 of Winchester, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2019, at her residence. She was born on Dec. 10, 1927, and had been employed at Shaw Industries. Dorothy loved being a member of the Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist Church Shepherd Street where she served as a Mother of the Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Otis Corn; daughter, Patricia Ann Leggett Simone; and son, Marvin Leroy Leggett Sr. She is survived by her son, Carl Everett Leggett Sr.; 10 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other friends and relatives. FARMER, Frances Marie, a native of Moore County, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2019, in Nashville, Tennessee. MCCAFFERTY, Michael “Mike” Daly, age 68 of Belvidere, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2019, at his residence. He was born on March 14, 1951, one of three sons born to the late Gene Sanford and Betty Leigh Lumpkins McCafferty in Mojave, California. Mike was a 1969 class graduate of Coffee County High School, and after high school he served in the United States Army. He was a graduate of Nashville Tech in 1977. Mike was employed and later retired from AEDC as an Instrument Tech. In his spare time, he enjoyed precision target shooting, ammunition reloading and woodworking. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Diane Schultz McCafferty. Mike is survived by his brothers, Douglas (Jennifer) McCafferty of Evans, Georgia and Tom (Betsy) McCafferty of Gainesville, Florida; brother-in-law, Dale (Alma) Schultz of Huntland; nieces and nephew, LtCol Derek (Carson) McCafferty of New Braunsfels, Texas and Allison (Joe) Brown of Martinez, Georgia, Ashley (Emily) Schultz of Huntland and Wesley Schultz of Chattanooga; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Kinley McCafferty, Claire and Landon Brown, Chris, Victoria, Parker and Lillian Schultz.
