 DAMRON, Carolyn Alfreda, age 76, went to be with her heavenly Father on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2019, in Memphis, Tennessee. Mrs. Damron was born on May 1, 1943, in Winchester, Tennessee to Stephen King and Delton Marie Bennett. She spent her nursing career between hospitals and Alzheimer units. She enjoyed watching the Braves, playing cards and spending time with family. Mrs. Damron is survived by her sons, Shannon Jackson (Cathy) and Dr. Giles Damron (Amanda). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Shane Terry, Dustin Jackson (Kalie) and Julianna Damron. She also leaves behind a brother, Steve and sister, Ethel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Damron. Visitation was held on Friday, Aug. 9, 2019, from 10 a.m. to noon at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Winchester.  POSEY, Rev. Howard W., 88 of Scottsboro, Alabama passed away Aug. 8, 2019. Survivors: wife, Annie Frances Posey; children, Larry (Dixie) Posey, David Posey, Mike Posey; grandchildren, Rick (Kim), Kenneth, Dustin (Joan), Daniell (Chris), Deanna; 11 great-grandchildren.  RHODES, Clarence Lee, age 83, of Winchester, departed this life on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2019, at his residence, losing his battle with cancer. Mr. Rhodes was born in Williamsport, Maryland on May 28, 1936, to the late Wilbur Rhodes and Lena Taylor Rhodes. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving his country during the Korean and Vietnam wars. Mr. Rhodes was employed for approximately 55 years as a graphic control engineer with the V.A. Hospital before his retirement. His hobbies were fishing, his swimming pool, gardening, and his favorite hobby was his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Rhodes was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Juanita Basile Rhodes; a son, Curtis Rhodes; and granddaughter, Holly Nicole Rhodes. He is survived by four daughters, Deborah Porter and husband, Ronald of Fayetteville, Tina M. Starkel of Winchester, Christie Mole and husband, Michael of Jacksonville, Florida, Teresa Vale and husband, Bob of Monteagle; sister, Peggy Kinna of Ft. Pierce, Florida; brother, William Rhodes of Boonesboro, Maryland; and 11 grandchildren. A private graveside service will be held at Keystone Heights Cemetery in Keystone Heights, Florida.  HENLEY, Adolphis, age 91 of Sewanee, Tennessee passed from this life on Friday morning, Aug. 9, 2019, at his home. He was born in Franklin County April 24, 1928, a son of the late General Joe Henley and Grace Marie Layne Henley. He was preceded in death by sons, Ray and Boris Henley; brothers, Parker and Owen Henley; sister, Elwanda Sain; and the mother of his children, Lillian Graves Henley. Mr. Henley had most recently made his home with his grandson, Sammie (Krystal) Henley. He was retired from The University of the South as a painter. He loved the outdoors, deer hunting and flea markets, where he met many friends and enjoyed taking and trading. His sons said, “Dad loved a good deal”. Survivors include his sons, Richard (Terri) Henley and Mickey (Emma) Henley; sisters, Sue Hill and Jean Harold; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Cumberland Funeral Home on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2019, from 1-2 p.m. A service to celebrate and honor his life will be held on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2019, at 2 p.m. in the Cumberland Funeral Home chapel with Brother Claude Hoback officiating.  GOLDEN, Madeline C., age 85 of Huntland, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019, at The Waters of Winchester. She was born on Feb. 13, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Clarence and Rita (Amiot) Zulfer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Golden; brothers, Donald Zulfer, Clarence Zulfer and James Zulfer; sister, Rita Besse; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Glen and Carolyn Golden; and sister-in-law, Billie Ruth Golden. Madeline is survived by her brother, Wesley (Barbara) Zulfer of Russellville, Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews.  FOSTER, Donna Jo, age 62 of Estill Springs, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019, at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System Winchester. A native of Franklin County, she was born in Winchester on Oct. 29, 1956, to the late Warren H. and Nellie Joyce (Short) Stills. Donna Jo was employed as a Registered Nurse in the healthcare industry and she loved being a nurse and taking care of people. She was a member of the Riva Lake Baptist Church. Donna Jo is survived by her son, Warren Howard Foster of Winchester; daughter, Krystal Michele Foster of Portland, Oregon; brother, James W. (Bettie R.) Stills of Estill Springs; sister, Pamela M. (William L.) Riley of Beechgrove; and several nieces and one nephew. Visitation will be held on Sunday, Aug. 18, 2019, from 1-3 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Winchester.  CHURCH, James “Jayme” Hugh, age 46 of Calabash, North Carolina, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019. Jayme was born on July 20, 1973, in Winchester to Barbara Church Coffelt and the late Clarence Carter Church. He graduated from Franklin County High School and attended the University of South Alabama where he studied art. Jayme tried his hand at various occupations including manager at 84 Lumber, salesman for Franklin County Lumber, technician for Comcast, working on construction and truck driving. His true love and talent was in art, especially glass etching for Church’s Stained Glass. He enjoyed coaching Little League baseball and Peewee football with his boys. He was a member of the Church of Christ and was actively involved with the Beach House Recovery Church while living in North Carolina. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by grandparents, Josephine and Jess Church and Jean Boyd. He is survived by his children, Jena Church, Jess Church and Josh Church; granddaughter, Ivey Church; brother, Cary Carter Church; grandfather, James Boyd; and mother and stepfather, Barbara and William Coffelt. Visitation was held on Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2019, from 5-8 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Winchester.
