 BELL, Paul E., age 91 of Winchester, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2019, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Sept. 6, 1927, in Moore County to the late Warren and Eunice McKinney Bell. Mr. Bell was a hard-working farmer who was dedicated to his family. He was a long time member of the Harmony Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he was a Sunday school superintendent and elder. Mr. Bell enjoyed traveling to Townsend, one of the three gateways into the Smoky Mountains National Park. In his spare time you could find him watching the Atlanta Braves or listening to gospel music. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughters, Paulette Dixon and Memia Dykes; step-mother, Beuna Bell; siblings, Richard Bell, Frank Bell, Hazel Sain and half-brother, Charles Bell; and cousins, Lucille Kelly and Emily Worth. Mr. Bell is survived by his wife of 71 years, Bettye Renegar Bell of Winchester; daughter, Gayle (Wilson) Chandler of Winchester; son, Roger (Lynn) Bell of Huntsville; grandchildren, Amanda (Jason) Anderton, Will Chandler, Riley Bell and Matthew Bell; and great-grandchildren, Gage Brock, Chandler Brock, Jailynn Anderton, Taylor Chandler and Jacey Chandler. Visitation was held on Saturday, July 27, 2019, from 1-2:30 p.m. at Harmony Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Services were conducted on Saturday, July 27, 2019, at 2:30 p.m. at Harmony Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Dr. Joe Butler officiating. Interment followed in the Harmony Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.  DONALDSON, Burt Trice, age 77 of Huntland, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2019, with his family by his side at Huntsville Hospital. Burt was preceded in death by his parents, Ward and Kathleen Donaldson. Burt was a dedicated businessman, supporter of the Huntland community and member of the Huntland First Baptist Church. Burt was the owner of TN Valley Wood Products, a member of the Winchester Masonic Lodge and recently was honored for being an active member for 50 years. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite and a Shriner. Burt enjoyed gardening, Tennessee football and spending time with his friends and family. Burt’s most coveted title was “Poppy.” His quick wit and playful personality will be missed by many. Burt is survived by his loving wife, Joy, of 57 years; his daughter, Tammy Donaldson of Huntland; granddaughters, Emily (Ashley) Schultz and Leslie (Greg) Jones, both of Huntland; and great-grandchildren, Chris, Victoria, Parker and Lillian Schultz and Tucker, Walker, Carter and Ryder Jones and numerous close friends. Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, from 5-8 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Winchester. Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at 11 a.m. in the Moore-Cortner Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Plunkett officiating. Interment followed in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery with John Green, Virgil Schultz, Danny Benson, Davis Schultz, Dale Schultz and Henry Greene serving as pallbearers.  ROBERTS, Mary Louise “MaryLou,” age 90, of Seymour, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2019, at Schneck Medical Center. She was born in Anderson, Indiana on Aug. 3, 1928, to the late Alba (Smith) and Erwin Hair. She was married to Albert Roberts until his death on Jan. 24, 2010. They lived in Frankton, Indiana and Winchester, Tennessee. She attended First United Methodist Church and enjoyed playing the organ, sewing and painting. MaryLou is survived by her children, Linda (John) Speckelmeyer, Steven Roberts, Barry (Nancy) Roberts and Tim (Rhonda) Roberts; grandchildren, Brian (Melissa) Svendsen, Jenna (David) Talbert, Courtenay St. Pierre, Shantel Roberts, Katherine Walker, Jennifer Roberts, Josh Barton and Rebecca (Jonathan) Glisson; great-grandchildren, Xander, Lexie, Matthew, Ella, Aleric, Aeyra and Eloise. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Services will be conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service at First United Methodist Church on Thursday, Aug. 1, 2019, at 5 p.m. with Rev. Ed Mead officiating. A graveside service will be held at Middle Tennessee Veteran’s Cemetery (7931 McCrory Lane, Nashville, TN 37221) on Friday, Aug. 2, 2019, at 2 p.m. Family and friends may call at First United Methodist Church on Thursday from 3 p.m. until time of service.  FINDLAY, Verna Mae, entered the gates of heaven on Saturday, July 27, 2019, where she was reunited with her loving husband, Harley V. Findlay. Visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 18, 2019, at Jennings-Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Lynchburg with a memorial service following at 3 p.m.

 ASTA, Wayne Leon, age 75 of Fayetteville, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2019, at Lynchburg Nursing Home. Wayne was born on Feb. 11, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Edward Leon and Mamie Lou McGee Asta. He served in the United States Air Force for 22 years. After his service, he worked security on Redstone Arsenal. He was a member of the American Legion and Masonic Lodge. Mr. Asta is survived by his wife, Ronda Asta; sons, Richard (Julie) Asta of Houston, Texas and Tony (Alora) Asta of Jacksonville, Florida; grandchildren, Ryan (Ashley) Asta, Matthew Asta, Mattea Asta, Luke Asta, Lilly Asta and Liam Asta; one brother, Ronald (Donna) Asta of Lebanon; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Frank Asta. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, Aug. 3, 2019, at 1 p.m. at West End Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Johnson and Bro. Danny Green officiating. Burial will follow in the Higgins Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens Garden of Honor.
